I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what I want Forward Fundraising to be and what I want to contribute to the fundraising community beyond the day-to-day work.
So, I’m going to start writing. Each week, I’ll share a thought about fundraising, philanthropy, leadership, or the humans behind all of it.
Sometimes it might be something I’ve experienced with a donor. Sometimes it might be something happening in our field that I'm thinking about. Sometimes it might be a question I don’t have a perfect answer to, but think we should be asking. There will be practical ideas. There will be stories. There will probably be a few strong opinions. Hopefully, we'll have some good conversations along the way.
Because after more than 20 years in this work, one thing I know for sure is that fundraising is about so much more than raising money. It’s about connection. Trust. Curiosity. Relationships. Generosity. Most importantly, people. All humans doing their best. That’s the space Forward Fundraising lives in.
So, consider this the “coming soon.” I’m excited to share what’s been on my mind and even more excited to hear what’s been on yours.
